Navigating Data Ethics in a SMART Manufacturing Environment
March 27, 2024 - Stephen had the honor of serving as a keynote presenter at the AMG SMART Manufacturing conference in Chicago, IL.
Stephen's presentation, titled "Establishing an Ethical Framework, Defining KPIs, and Measuring Success," addressed the pivotal role of ethical data reporting in the realms of business reputation, employee retention, and the profound impact it can have on human life.
Stephen commented, "I highlighted the consequences that unethical reporting can have on an organization and demonstrated an alternative approach where higher value questions are asked and KPIs are better understood. This framework will lead to more productive conversations and higher value decisions being made by a company."

Intercompany & Data Maturity Discussion at University Wisconsin - Madison
November 14, 2023 - Stephen was invited to remotely present on intercompany shipments from a data perspective and data maturity stages with business students from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
They discussed the importance of intercompany cooperation and how clear business rules establish quality measurements. They also explored the progression through various stages of data maturity, discussing how Business Intelligence tools, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence are becoming integral in the business landscape and how students can leverage these tools in their future careers.
Stephen said, of the talk, "I am always excited to share my thoughts on the data landscape and to equip future leaders to be strong data stewards." Stephen's next talk will be at AMG's Smart Manufacturing Food and Beverage Q1 of 2024.
